In June of 2016, Déjà Vu Consignment Boutique in Vancouver, WA, selected Time to Put Kids First to participate in their annual Half Yearly Sale. This event brings crowds of people from the community to the boutique, to shop their biggest sale of the year, to eat, and to browse the many vendors who attend.

Amber Keech, owner of Déjà Vu, leads her business with a huge heart, who loves to give back to the community through partnerships with local organizations. Every year prior to their Half Yearly Sale, they ask the community to help them select their favorite non-profit to participate. Déjà Vu generously donates 10% of their proceeds from the day’s sale to the chosen non-profit organization and Time to Put Kids First was honored to be selected in 2016!

At this sale, TPKF was given the opportunity to set up a table along with the vendors, allowing us to share our organizational mission, vision, and goals with the local community. Multiple TPKF volunteers were involved in coordinating the efforts for this event by donating tables and other needed supplies, providing transportation, and giving their time on site to greet shoppers and to tell them about our mission.

Overall, the day was a great success where TPKF was able to meet many locals within the community, vendors and patrons, to spread our message. You likely will not be surprised to hear that we spoke to many people who were also impacted by separation, divorce and child custody issues, including cases of parental alienation. Every time we get out in the community, we hear from so many other families impacted by this, and it just motivates us to work even harder!

Being Déjà Vu’s biggest sale of the year, it brought in a large and consistent crowd all day long, allowing for many new eyes to fall upon our organization! We would like to sincerely thank Déjà Vu for this wonderful opportunity giving our organization great exposure and a generous donation of $460!

We are extremely grateful for your compassion and heart to give to your local community and to organizations in need. We absolutely loved working with such a great team at Déjà Vu Consignment Boutique! Thank you to all who helped make it a success!
