The Girls Scouts is an excellent organization that began over 100 years ago. It has grown to over 2.7 million people consisting of 1.9 million girls and 800,000 adults. The Girl Scouts focus on teaching youth girls important life skills such as goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. "Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place" (girlscouts.org) and we here at TPKF believe they do just that!

Another teaching from the Girl Scouts is about giving back to the community, where scouts are given the opportunity to donate a portion of their cookie sales to an organization of their choice. One girl in particular has given TPKF reason to believe that the Girl Scouts are fulfilling their mission of building brave girls! This courageous and confident little girl decided to support TPKF with her cookie sales and donated her portion to our organization.

With a goal and her mind set on selling 300 boxes, this little girl set out to do just that. With determination and tenacity, not only did she reach her goal of 300 boxes, but she sold more than double this number! She sold 640 boxes this year which allowed her to have $64 to donate, where she chose TPKF to be the recipient. Along with her donation, she wrote TPKF a wonderful letter in support of our work.

Her letter reads:

"Dear Time to Put Kids First,

I have choosen your charity to receive money from girl scouts. I chose this because I think it is important to make it so kids can spend equal time with both parents. Second, because kids can do more stuff with both parents.

I sold 640 boxes this year earned $64 in donation money to TPKF.

My troop's check is enclosed. Please use this money to help other families have equal time.

Thank you

Sincerly

JK"

TPKF is extremely grateful for the support of this little girl and we admire her courage and support for our organization and cause! Her compassion, heart, and desire for children to have equal time with both parents is truly inspiring!

Thank you, JK, for your hard work, generosity, and compassion for our cause!
Sincerely,
Time to Put Kids First
