Tammy Butt

Tammy Butt, Treasurer
When Tammy first graduated high school, she was interested in the legal system, so she got her Legal Secretary Associates degree. She was the first one in her family to graduate from college. Midway through her degree program, she was hired as a Financial Assistant at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Tammy decided to further her education and obtained both Associates & Bachelors degrees in Accounting. In 2008, she obtained her MBA in Managerial Theory.

Tammy became a single mom at age 26, when her son was 18 months old. He was diagnosed with ADHD around age three, and later at age six, he was re-diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome (high functioning). She worked full time but still learned all she could about how to best raise her son and advocate for him through his education in the public schools. Many years of working with school staff and therapists have helped her become a better parent. Her son is now 20 years old and a successful college student at UNH, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is also the RA of his dorm!

Tammy currently works as a Tax Preparer in Somersworth, NH. She is learning more about Non-profit organizations. She loves and supports what Time to Put Kids First stands for and values her role in the organization.
